How we work
Our source is what the perfume houses publish themselves. Every night a program reads the product listings on the websites of 44 Arabian and Middle Eastern houses. When a new perfume appears, we publish a short report the same night.
We take only facts from the brand: name, concentration, sizes, audience, notes and the date it appeared. We do not copy the brand's descriptions. Accords and scent families are our own estimate from the listed notes, and we say so.
Images: the photo FragranceGems uses when the shop carries the perfume, otherwise the brand's own product photo with the credit 'Image: <brand>', otherwise a card we make ourselves.
We never accept payment for coverage and do not rank perfumes by taste. We do not name other perfume houses and do not compare with their perfumes.
Reader impressions, votes and articles are confirmed by email and checked automatically for our rules (no other houses, no prices, no links in impressions, no personal data, friendly language) before they appear. Texts in doubt wait for a person.
Editorial team
ScentRadar is edited by the team of FragranceGems B.V. in Zoetermeer, the Netherlands. The reports are produced automatically from the brands' own publications and checked by fixed rules; the team corrects errors and reviews texts the automatic checks are unsure about.
